Account Manager Job Description

Position Type: Independent Contractor

Location: Remote

Rate: $35 / hour

Estimated weekly hours: 10-20

How do you know if this is your dream work and if Fertility Bridge is your dream client? If you think you can achieve these outcomes, this just might be the place for you:

  1. Advertiser fully onboarded, up to 10 per month,

 including obtaining Advertiser intake, scheduling interviews when relevant, liaising with Advertiser Strategist, Content Strategist, and Production Project Managers. You proactively address issues on strategy, due dates and deliverables with Advertiser. The Advertiser goes to you for all questions and issues on strategy, due dates and deliverables.

 

  1. All sponsor requirements are received, approved and delivered within deadline

including payments, agreements, the advertiser’s creative assets such as landing pages and lead magnets, and calls to action.  You proactively contact the advertiser regarding sponsor requirements and their deadlines. You lead monthly meetings with the advertiser. 

 

  1. Annual customer retention rate of >75%.

>75% of clients continue through and renew or upgrade their investments after 12 months. Avg. Customer satisfaction score of 9/10 or 4.5 of 5. Responded to within 3 business hours (9a - 5p EST, Monday - Friday).

  • Advertiser has agreed to be timely according to their Terms of Service Agreement

  • Sales person to close new close new business, you don’t close get new business

  • Sales Assistant, to help move order from sales to deliver 

  • Production Project Manager who helps with deliverables like podcast episodes and news articles

  • Background on fertility field

  • History of and vision of Inside Reproductive Health

  • Deals are already sold, you do not have to sell

  • Founder to help close upsells and renewals. Your job is to open the window 

  • IRH Content Playbook to direct many advertiser strategy questions

  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for our different offerings and sponsorship process, including Loom videos where helpful.  

  • A communication policy SOP for interacting with Advertisers

  • Account Dossier for you to include client information

  • Brand Guide, Media Kit, and an overview of the deliverables for our offerings

  • A Library of current and prior podcasts and digests, our IVF Heroes Universe Directory, and our Industry Reports, to expand your knowledge of our offerings and the field

  • An account project coordinator who is responsible for much of the manual set up such as Asana projects and client portals

 

What you may need to achieve the outcomes, that we do not have

  • Process for efficiently obtaining approvals from clients in phases may be insufficient, speak up

  • Our traffic system is simple right now; you may have to help as it gets more complicated

  • Reporting on data and its processes are incomplete and we are slowly building our data capabilities

  2. Must be a plus or a plus/minus on each of the five core values of Fertility Bridge

  3. Leader specifies and judges the result of the outcome.

  4. Must be on brand with Fertility Bridge and Inside Reproductive Health brand guidelines

  5. Employee or contractor must specify exactly what is required to achieve outcome

  6. Must be accountable in Asana

  7. Must create Fertility Bridge assets in Fertility Bridge drives using Fertility Bridge account

We’re looking for someone who can not only meet the Outcomes above but also someone who has a background in client management]. A background in digital marketing or the fertility industry is a plus as well, but not required

YOUR MISSION

Should you choose to accept it, is to retain and grow Fertility Bridge’s client accounts. You own the relationship and strategic direction between Fertility Bridge’s clients and team of experts.

You don’t hunt for new business.

You are present in sales meetings, but you're not the one prospecting, selling, or closing brand new clients. You meet the client after they engage us for a business problem, but before any deliverables are promised.

You own the distribution of the relationship.

Clients often have multiple stakeholders, and Fertility Bridge has multiple strategists in creative, operational marketing, and digital. Most of the contact goes through you, and you keep the relationships strong.

You don’t own project management.

You have a different team member to back you up in making sure the work gets done.

You pay close attention to clients’ goals.

Clients have a lot of places they could spend their money. We have an obligation to help them get a return on their investment.

You communicate value.

They need to see that return on their investment. Continuously.

You anticipate clients’ true needs.

You’re not an order taker. You don’t let Fertility Bridge become relegated to vendor status by carrying out requests that don’t really impact the client’s practice or business. You anticipate their true needs and use Fertility Bridge’s resources to offer solutions.

You lead the strategy, but you don’t have to execute it.

You’re not prescribing every strategy for every client all of the time and you don’t need to know every last detail of their execution. But you have to know down pat how the strategies work and be able to confidently prescribe the right one to the right client at the right time.
